Weekly Goals with Grace {New Weekly Feature!}

This year I have seriously struggled with goal setting (and keeping). I don’t know what it is but I have been slumping in this area. Most of you are probably assuming it has something to do with the third baby added to the mix this past January, but I’m not entirely convinced it’s that.

I’ve been giving myself grace, allowing to let go of some things and just embracing this season of rest but there comes a time when I just have to light a little fire under my tush to get back into gear.

One way I’ve decided to do that (and hold myself accountable) is to start sharing my goals weekly.

Weekly Goals with Grace {Week of June 1, 2015}

Last year I shared my yearly goals with monthly progress reports but this year I knew I probably couldn’t keep up with that. Instead I have infrequently 😉 been sharing my small, monthly grace-filled goals but I was failing at completing those too.

So I’m going to break it down into something smaller and create mini-weekly goals with grace.

I’ve long been inspired by other bloggers who share their weekly goals so I’m going to try it out and see if I can get myself motivated to work towards accomplishing some goals I have for myself. So starting today, every Sunday I will share my new weekly goals as well as report on my progress for accomplishing the previous weeks goals.

You guys please hold me accountable! I need it :) Alright, so here we go…

This Week’s Goals:

Family Goals {Motherhood & Marriage}

Start our new summer routine- Which consists of a simple chore chart, completing the Fruit of the Spirit curriculum among other learning activities and a lot of unstructured outdoor play time.

Read aloud together every day- somehow we have gotten out of the habit of reading books during the day. The only time we have been reading together lately is at bedtime, which is something I want to work on changing.

Go on one date with my husband

Homemaking

Complete my Motivated Mom’s Checklist every day

Move Jack’s changing table station from the living room to our bedroom, and size out his clothes – he is getting so big :(

Weekly Goals with Grace {Week of June 1, 2015}

I’m seriously ashamed to show you but this is the current state of the baby’s changing area. It’s an unorganized mess plus he weighs too much for the changing table so it’s starting to become a safety issue too. We just moved an old dresser into our room now I just need to take a few minutes to organize and set it up!

Personal Health and Wellness

Workout at least 4 times- either by going to a Jazzercise class, taking a walk or using my personal mini-stepper with weights at home

Finish reading Love the Home You Have, Dad is Fat (seriously funny, and so true on parenting) and Time Management Mama. Start Unbroken, Better Than Before and re-start The Art of Work. (I can read a lot when nursing)

Spiritual

Complete the Timothy She Reads Truth study (I’m about three weeks behind!) :)

Blogging

Write every day and post according to my set editorial calendar

Complete 1 unit in Elite Blog Academy
